Step out of the world of neon light and turn back to the old Saigon for a while, you can see hand-painted signs with pure Vietnamese fonts, almost everywhere on the streets. These signs give Saigon a signature look that cannot be mistaken with any other nations.
But now…Those hand-painted signatures can only be seen at old stores that are alive for decades. Well, it is still a plural. Yet when mentioning the one who create this “Saigonese sign”, there is only one person left in the city. The only one who are trying to maintain the craft day by day, among the bright world of multi-color neon signs.
